Thank you for taking the time to visit Stark Design and view my work. My name is Kris Stark, and I am a classically trained photographer and designer, with a BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, and a BA in Design in progress at SUNY Farmingdale. I worked for more than 5 years doing commercial and photography before returning to school to study design, which has always interested me. I have found that my training as a photographer has given me a unique way of viewing the world, which translates into my design practice as a focus on imagery. I have discovered a love and deep respect for the other parts of design, particularly typography and structure. 

Photography empowers both the photographer and the viewer. It presents the opportunity to see the world in new ways and through other people’s eyes. For me, photography serves as both a way to capture a moment in time as well as a way to convey emotion. My aim in my personal photography is to share the world as I see it, both its beauty & its ugliness.

The current version of this website serves as personal portfolio for my photography and design work as well as a platform for experimenting & learning about web design, so if you come across something that doesn't work or really annoys you, please let me know, all constructive criticism is highly welcome.
